Work with a Board Certified Coach | 10+ years supporting teens and families
She may look like she has it all together— but inside, it doesn’t always feel that way.
Today girls face increasing academic pressure, social comparison, and rising expectations. Many are high-functioning on the outside—yet internally overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure how to manage what they’re carrying.
Coaching provides something they don’t often get in school or daily life: explicit instruction and practice in emotional regulation, decision-making, and self-trust. This is for you if your teen:
Appears capable and responsible—but feels overwhelmed inside
Puts pressure on themselves to do everything “right”
Overthinks decisions or second-guesses themselves
Feels stress around school, friendships, or expectations
Wants to feel more confident and in control
Coaching, Not Therapy
This is not therapy. I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Instead, I offer skill-based coaching that helps girls better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns—so they can navigate challenges with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
Coaching is a collaborative process. Together, we build insight, develop practical skills, and work toward meaningful goals. Rather than being told what to do, girls learn how to think, reflect, and make decisions for themselves—creating changes that are lasting and self-directed.
How It Works
Six Sessions. In-person or virtual. Support for your teen.

Develop emotional resilience that is stronger than any challenge they face
My Coaching Approach
Rachel McElroy is a Board Certified Coach (BCC), former special education teacher, and the founder of Align & Empower Coaching. With over a decade of experience working alongside children, adolescents, and families, Rachel brings a deep understanding of emotional development, learning differences, and the complex pressures today’s girls face.
After years in public education, Rachel felt called to do the work she had long envisioned — helping girls build the inner skills that determine not only academic success, but lifelong confidence and well-being.
Her coaching is grounded in emotional intelligence, personal agency, and skills-based growth. Rachel partners with girls and their families to strengthen self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and intentional decision-making. She believes growth happens not through pressure or perfection, but through alignment — when young women develop clarity about who they are, understand the choices available to them, and expand their capacity to act with confidence and agency.
Rachel holds a Master’s degree in Communication, maintains an active Virginia teaching license in Special Education, and is passionate about helping girls blossom from within — building the clarity, confidence, and capability they need to thrive.
